We are all experiencing different levels of isolation, grief and confusion. For those readers that are ill, have loved ones that are ill, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
High Ground Coaching and Development has been connecting with folks around the state, country and world the past couple weeks, and there seems to be a real interest in using this time to do whatever it takes to come out on the other side of this better, stronger and more unified.
During the complimentary trainings HGCD has been hosting the past 2 weeks, and will continue to throughout April, there is a consistent question popping up when discussing working from home and managing teams that are working from home.
What to Read?
One thing that being forced into working from home can gain you is more time. Yes, there are
great numbers out there telling us that remote workers are up to 25% more productive than those at a brick and mortar office. This leaves time to connect your team and organization with extra professional development through book clubs and virtual coffee dates that discuss what they have learned and how they would apply this moving forward.
For Entry Level/College Grads
Here are some great books to suggest for those non-managerial positions or for those managers that haven't read these at all or in a decade. These have fantastic common-sense insights that last a lifetime and never go out of date. You may have to be forgiving when it comes to pronoun use, so if you are sensitive to using "humankind" as opposed to "mankind" the first couple may not be for you. I highly urge you to overcome this so you can benefit from the value in the timeless wisdom within.

This is such a small sampling of great books on leadership, team building, goal setting and sales. Please feel free to comment and share some great books you have recently read.
Also, one last point on reading. Don't forget to continue to also feed the other side of your brain! By reading fiction, fantasy and science fiction you continue to build your creative muscle and allow yourself some time to escape into another world, life and story.

What am I reading right now?
Well, while working out, I am listening to "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius. Part of my morning routine is to read for 20 minutes - during that time I am reading "Entrepreneur Roller Coaster"
